A mathematical model-based system for online monitoring of the pipeline operation state.
The main functions:
* Pressure and Flow distribution calculation in the pipeline basing on the hydrodynamical mathematical model
Figure 1: Comparison of the calculations with experimental data of the transient process
* Visualization of the actual head line based on the actual pressure data and the model head line based on calculated values of pressure;
Figure 2: The main diagram of the head lines during the launch of the pipeline
* Online control of the conformity between the calculated and actual pressures under steady-state and transient regimes;
* Auto diagnosis of the probable reasons of the deviations between the actual head line and the calculated head line;
* Calculation of the transport of the oil batches with different density and viscosity in the pipeline;
Figure 3: Calculated viscosity distribution along the pipeline
* Calculation of the motion of the diagnostic tools and pigs in the pipeline and prediction of the arrival time at the receiver;
Figure 4: Table containing various pigs information (calculated location in the pipeline, approximate arrival time at the receiver, etc.)
* Prediction of the time of tank emptying/filling operation;
* Auto identification of actual pump characteristics;
Figure 5: The main diagram of the information about identification of the actual pump characteristics
* Auto identification of the equivalent main pipeline diameter;
Figure 6: The main diagram of the information about identification of the equivalent main pipeline diameter
* Indication of the beginning and the end of steady-state pipeline regime;
* The system controls serviceability of the measuring apparatus (pressure/flow sensors, etc.);
* Pipeline parameters archive database maintenance with playback function;
* Pipeline events archive database maintenance.
